About This Venue
The Boise Depot is one of Idaho’s most iconic event venues. Built in 1925 as a Union Pacific Railroad station, this Spanish Colonial Revival masterpiece sits atop a hill offering sweeping views of downtown Boise and the Treasure Valley. The Great Hall features a barrel-vaulted ceiling, ornate tile work, and enormous arched windows that fill the space with natural light.
The venue’s hilltop location provides a dramatic arrival experience for guests, and the surrounding grounds are immaculate for outdoor ceremonies and cocktail hours. Despite its grandeur, the Depot is operated by the City of Boise, which keeps rental fees surprisingly reasonable compared to private venues of similar caliber. The space works beautifully for weddings, corporate galas, and milestone celebrations. If you want a venue that genuinely takes your breath away without a premium price tag, the Boise Depot is in a class of its own.
