The Mill of Chattanooga

The Mill occupies a restored building more than a hundred years old on Gulf Street in Chattanooga's Southside, the converted-industrial district that holds most of the city's standalone event venues. Its 7,300-plus square feet of event space sit on a single floor, which simplifies load-in and guest flow, and the room scales from 20 seated guests up to 500 at tables or 1,000 standing — among the largest capacities of any independent venue in the city.

Unlike most Southside halls, The Mill operates as a full-service catering and events house, handling food and coordination in-house rather than through outside vendors, and it produces more than 125 events a year. The exposed structure of the old mill building does the decorating work that newer venues have to rent. The Mill is best for big weddings, corporate banquets, and holiday parties that want one contract covering the room, the food, and the staff.
