Crescent Bend House & Gardens

Crescent Bend is an 1834 antebellum house on Kingston Pike, just west of downtown Knoxville, overlooking a bend in the Tennessee River. The house was restored in 1977 and is furnished with eighteenth-century antiques and an English silver collection dating to the 1500s. The grounds are the draw for events: formal Italian gardens arranged across nine terraces with five fountains, descending toward the river.

The property offers four outdoor ceremony settings — the Holly Maze Garden, the Roman Fountain level, the River Garden Terrace, and the River Lawn — and tents can be set on the second and third terraces for receptions above the water. Indoor and outdoor facilities together accommodate up to 250 guests. Beyond weddings, the venue books rehearsal dinners, teas, birthday and anniversary parties, holiday parties, business meetings, and family reunions. It is best for garden weddings and daytime social events that want historic grounds and river views close to downtown.
