The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel

The Cornhusker has anchored downtown Lincoln's large-event market for decades, and its current Marriott incarnation at 13th and M Streets carries roughly 46,000 square feet of function space. The centerpiece is the 10,545-square-foot Grand Ballroom, with 16-foot ceilings, seating up to 760 for a banquet or 1,000 for a reception; it subdivides for smaller weddings and corporate dinners. The L-shaped Renaissance Room offers 3,204 square feet and seats about 100 with room left for a dance floor, head table, and cake table.

As a full-service hotel, the Cornhusker handles catering, bar service, and audiovisual in-house, and overnight rooms upstairs simplify logistics for out-of-town guests — useful for weddings that draw family from across the state. The trade-off is hotel pricing and hotel rules; this is not a bring-your-own-caterer venue. It is best for large weddings, galas, corporate banquets, and multi-day events that need guest rooms attached.
