The Mellwood Art Center is a sprawling 42-acre arts complex on Mellwood Avenue near downtown Louisville, offering five distinct rentable event halls. These range from the 2,500-square-foot Pigment Gallery (60 to 80 seated) and the 4,000-square-foot Monet Room (up to 180 seated / 225 standing) to the 10,000-square-foot Picasso Room, the 12,500-square-foot Van Gogh Ballroom, and the 19,000-square-foot Da Vinci Room, which seats up to 1,000 and holds up to 1,600 standing.
The center runs an open-vendor model: rooms include tables and chairs, hosts may bring in and serve their own alcohol, and linens and decorations are supplied by the host.
