Olbrich Botanical Gardens

Olbrich Botanical Gardens is a public botanical garden on Atwood Avenue on Madison's east side, with rentable event spaces inside its botanical center and across 16 acres of grounds. The Evjue Commons handles seated or standing receptions of up to 150 and connects to the Lussier Terrace, the Atrium serves indoor ceremonies, and the outdoor Event Garden seats up to 120 from May through September. Rental fees run roughly $3,700 to $4,600 per event depending on day and season, and include tables, chairs, a ceremony rehearsal, and a one-year garden membership.

Catering comes from a preferred vendor list and alcohol is handled in-house, so hosts work within an established system rather than building a vendor stack from scratch. Spaces are available year-round, with the commons accessible from noon to 11 p.m. The setting — formal gardens, a lagoon, and the Bolz Conservatory — does most of the decorating. It is best suited to weddings, anniversary parties, and daytime business functions that want garden views without leaving the city.
